of our language as a church
comes to us from ancient Greek—
the whole New Testament, in fact,
was initially written in Greek!
But so much can be lost in translation—
translation from the original Greek to English,
and even from older English to our modern parlance.
For the next five weeks, however,
let’s take a good look at five Greek words
from across the New Testament:
five words that have the potential to
reinvigorate our faith today.
